Zeppelin India is offering a time-tested design of its parent Company to satisfy the growing requirements of the Indian cold chain industry. In its effort to provide a reliable, energy efficient and state of the art technology, Zeppelin has introduced light weight insulated bodies made of sandwich panels with metal skins on both side and thermal insulation core of CFC free, rigid polyurethane foam.

A unique and registered design of a 'Z' section sub-frame for mounting the body on the chassis of a vehicle not only increases the life of the body and chassis, it also gives the option of quick removal from one chassis and mounting on another similar chassis, in case the existing chassis has outlived its life or is unusable for any other reason.
As KOOL KARGO bodies have a modular design, Zeppelin can offer bodies with various options of wall thicknesses for different temperature requirements and dimensions to suit different vehicle chassis available in the market.

1. MORE VALUE FOR MONEY:

The Zeppelin KOOL KARGO body is very strong in construction but still light in weight thus permitting more payload. All aluminium or steel skins or a combination of aluminium and steel is used depending upon end use and the customer's choice. Exterior Grade ply board / marine grade ply board is used in the floor with aluminium chequered plates or T grating aluminium for long lasting trouble free operation.

2. ADVANCED FOAMING PROCESS:

All panels are foamed flat in specially made dies and fixtures in a high-pressure State-of-the-art press. The flat foaming process results in high consistency and uniform foam coverage of the desired density of 40 +/- 2Kg/Cu mtr. The high-density foam eliminates air pockets in the panels. A single panel of 8mx3m size can be provided.

3. AIR AND WATER TIGHT CONSTRUCTION:

Zeppelin KOOL KARGO bodies are made of panels which are interlocked by means of cam locks.Joints are filled with high quality Polyurethane sealant to achieve weather proof air and water-tight sealing.

This is supplemented by an optional plastic strip air curtain at the door and specially developed EPDM rubber gaskets on the door profile to prevent heat loss and ingress of dust etc.

All heat conductive joints are properly isolated to eliminate heat bridges.

The sunroof design is unique since additional insulation is provided to reduce heat gain by almost 20~30%. This reduces the operating hours of the chilling plant by 15 % or more thus resulting in saving of operating costs.

4. LONGER LIFE AND EASY REPAIRABILITY:

Zeppelin KOOL KARGO bodies are made of high quality sheets, which are corrosion resistant for a long time under all weather conditions.

The longer life of body is also achieved by provision of a special mounting arrangement, which minimizes the transmission of road shocks to the body. The body itself is held together either by extruded aluminium alloy angles or GI angles, welded at joints to impart high strength and rigidity. The sub frame, along with the insulated body can be easily lifted for transfer to another similar chassis, if required.
